That is also where the risk hides. ISG notes that several core pieces of Tableau's agentic analytics, from the knowledge graph in July to the Command Center planned for fall 2026, are still early in their availability. Adopting now means living with incomplete features during rollout. The maturity of the layer matters as much as its existence.



## Salesforce opens its data to outside agents



The other strong signal in Summer '26 is strategic: Salesforce is exposing its data to agents that are not its own. The hosted MCP servers make SOQL, Data 360 and Tableau consumable by Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor. In practice, an agent built outside Salesforce can query a Tableau dashboard and a CRM record as two standardized tools, with no custom integration. For a vendor historically attached to its walled garden, that is a notable change of posture.

The logic is as defensive as it is open. If agents become the entry point to work, Salesforce has every reason to stay the source of truth those agents query, whatever the model. Better to be the data everyone calls than the interface no one opens.
